To "navigate" means to "display a different semel".

Navigation can be absolute (using the Navigate menu):

• to the universe
• to the outermost scope
• to the std namespace

or relative (to the current semel) (using the Navigate menu):

• to my surrounding namespace
• to my surrounding class
• to my surrounding function
• to my surrounding statement
• to my owner
• to my header file

or you can navigate to the target semel in a 1-to-1 association by clicking on its "Navigate" button

or you can navigate to the target semels in a 1-to-many association using a to-do list

or you can click the mouse on any character in the right-hand-side, and you will navigate to the semel whose codification includes that character. (This is much faster than drilling down one semel at a time.)
